Nickelodeon Poll picked Kerry in 2004!

Back in the 2004 Presidential Election, children's programming channel Nickelodeon released a poll results that had Democratic hopeful John Kerry winning the election over Republican George W. Bush. The results less then two weeks away from the election according to their online poll showed that 57% backed Kerry against 43% for Bush! In this article, released on October 21, 2004, it discusses how the "kids' vote seems to work as a good barometer of the actual presidential vote". Well, apparently the kids must have changed their mind at the time of the actual election because those numbers were not only wrong, but as we know now, Bush won the election.

So what does this have to do with the election in 2008? Well, Nickelodeon released the same poll between Obama and McCain. The numbers are a bit closer with Obama leading McCain 51% to 49%. According to the 2004 results, these numbers could translate to, McCain beating Obama, 56.7% to 42.3%! Interestingly enough, this really wouldn't be that far fetched. Take for instance, the margin of error, along with undecided voters, and you have an entirely different kind of election then the mainstream media has been presenting to us.

So with that said, this election is far from being wrapped up!
