Oscar Wilde said, "Life imitates art far more than art imitates Life."
But in the case of the summer blockbuster Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen", art actually imitates life.
In the movie, the president, whose name is not mentioned but once later in the film, sends his wimpy representative to send the message to the "Autobots" (the good robots) that they need to leave Earth, hoping the "Decepticons" (the bad robots) will follow.
Oh yeah, and the president wants to negotiate with the Decepticons- something the Autobots warn of, even pointing to the fact that "you can't negotiate with the Decepticons"- or something like that. Sound familiar?
I thought to myself, "No, liberal Hollywood isn't actually making a point here- a point that really takes a swipe at their "golden boy" Obama".
But then it happened. They actually used the name "Obama" when referring to the president- only once, but once was all it took. Obama was the wimpy, "negotiate-with-Decepticons" president in this film- no wonder it got such poor ratings from movie critics! It all makes sense.
Many of the liberal, Obama-worshipping film critics and journalists got their panties all tied up in a knot over this. But let's face it, this is exactly what our current president would do- it is what he is doing right now- negotiating with evil people- go figure.
The question is, will the name "Obama" be taken out of the DVD release?
