Fairness Doctrine a.k.a The "Poor Losers" Doctrine

If it were up to Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and the rest of the Democrat goon squad, America would resemble that of a Socialist, no, Communist regime. When those in power use words like "Fairness" to describe something that is put in place to control speech and thought, anyone who believes in free speech, democracy, and freedom in general should feel uneasy. And if you don't, then you will when you realize your favorite radio program, or worse yet, blog is saturated with content that has nothing to do with the original programming and content. This should concern liberals, independents, and especially conservatives. In fact, if you value freedom of radio stations to air what they, and their listeners want, then the "Fairness Doctrine" should make you sick to your stomach.

It is widely known that conservative, as well as libertarian based radio talk programs have a gigantic listening audience. Rush Limbaugh's audience makes the liberal "Air America" listening audience look like a "pirate radio" station audience (is Air America even around anymore?). This infuriates liberals, and especially Nancy Pelosi. Those who fall into the Pelosi line of thinking cannot understand that there are opposing views then theirs, much less millions upon millions of daily listeners of these programs. So as in everything liberals do, they want to have the government impose their iron fist so that this natural evolution of radio listening audience can be put to a stop. They would even like to take this into the world of blogs. A conservative blog would then have to have links to liberal blogs. Does this sound familiar? Think China, Cuba, the good old U.S.S.R. back in the day (maybe even today?). Radio stations choose programming based on what their listening audience wants. This changes over time, even throughout the day. But to force privately owned radio stations to play certain programs based on political leanings sounds like a government run media. This is wrong for America. No one is forced to listen to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, or Laura Ingraham. No one is forced to read conservative blogs, nor liberal blogs. Would we expect the Huffington Post to have a conservative section that cancels out their entire website? We have choices, and today with all of the channels, stations, and millions of blogs, there are choices.

But let's be honest. This isn't about fairness at all. This is about a group of poor losers. Yep, that's right, whining, crying, poor losers. If liberal radio "Air America" was on top of their game, and Alan Colmes had the kind of ratings Rush Limbaugh has, we wouldn't be talking about this "Fairness Doctorine". That's what this is really about, isn't it? Its like the kid on the playground who is a poor loser and goes home to get his big, thug-of-a-brother to come beat up the kids who are better at shooting baskets so he can "even the playing court". But in the end, everyone loses.
