Death of Freedom of the Airwaves

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." -First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution
If someone told me ten years ago that I would be writing a blog post about our leaders, in the United States of America, having discussion on instituting regulation on political speech on the airwaves, I would say that it wasn't possible, for we live in the great free country of the world who values free speech and thought. What I didn't realize is that there would be desperate left wing fascists running our country- welcome to the U.S.A., now known to the new administration as the "United Socialists of America".

Responding to a question by radio host Bill Press of World Net Daily about whether it was time to bring back the "Fairness Doctrine" Senator Debbie Stabenow (D) said:

"I feel like that's gonna happen...I think it's absolutely time to pass a standard. Now, whether it's called the Fairness Standard, whether it's called something else – I absolutely think it's time to be bringing accountability to the airwaves. I mean, our new president has talked rightly about accountability and transparency. You know, that we all have to step up and be responsible. And, I think in this case, there needs to be some accountability and standards put in place."

Back before the election conservative talk radio hosts warned that the new administration would talk about bringing back the "Fairness Doctrine". Democrats and liberals told us that this was "conspiracy mongering". Well, here we are less then a month into an Obama Administration ruled by Democrats- and they are already breaking out the duct tape to slap on the mouths of conservative talk radio.

What these fascists (that's what they really are) don't realize is that if they try to legislate free speech, it will leave a black mark on the name of the Democrat party for decades to come. As Sean Hannity would say, come and try and take this microphone out of our hands...try me!
