Deeds: Embrace Obama or be thrown under the bus

The Washington Post front page on Friday read:
"Deeds ignored advice, White House says- Top Democrats seek to shield Obama in case of election loss"

Ouch. That sounds a little weird- even sinister if you asked me. But the opening sentence gets even worse-
"Sensing that victory in the race for Virginia governor is slipping away, Democrats at the national level are laying the groundwork to blame a loss in a key swing state on a weak candidate who ran a poor campaign that failed to fully embrace President Obama until days before the election."

The Democratic candidate for governor in Virginia, R. Creigh Deeds dared to "refuse early offers of strategic advice" by Obama. There was a time when every politician would have sold their first born son to have Obama on stage with them when campaigning. That was last October- this is a year later- and Obama isn't quite as popular as he was then.

The Post writes, "Although Deeds often praises the president on the campaign trail, he has distanced himself from Obama and Democratic policy priorities at times. At a debate in September, he declined the opportunity to label himself an "Obama Democrat."

Wham! That's it right there- he refused to "step in line" and be an "Obama Democrat". And if you don't play on his team, he has no use for you.

The Obama Administration has demonized individuals, news organization, companies- even the Chamber of Commerce! Now he is targeting his own party members for not talking the right talk. This is a new step. Because there are Democrats, the "blue dogs", who know they can't get elected if they take on and wear the "Obama Democrat" jacket. These "blue dogs" certainly don't believe in the borderline Marxist policies, but they know their constituents won't vote them into office- or, vote them out of office, if they campaign on the Obama platform these days.

So the question is this: Will Obama throw half the Democratic Party under his "bus", or will the Democratic Party finally step up and throw Obama under their "bus".

Whatever the case, this story could be a pivot point- we're watching...
Why do I feel like I am reading a story about a ego hungry, cult-of-personality from a communist country?
