Civil Rights Activist on Hunger Strike in Cuba- dying...media ignores.

When the anti-war "embarassement of a soldier's mom" Cindy Sheehan would show up somewhere to hold a cardboard sign the mainstream media would show up- in a caravan, camping out at the site cameras waiting to capture every moment.

When Cindy Sheehan went to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to protest the imprisoned terrorists and terrorists suspects, the media was there. And while Cindy Sheehan and her circus were protesting the imprisonment of terrorists/killers, there were innocent Cubans being imprisoned, and killed, for not bowing down to Castro's regime. It is truly amazing how those who call themselves "human rights activists" always seem to turn a blind eye to the real violations when it doesn't fit their agenda.

Right now there is a civil rights activists on a hunger strike in Cuba. He is protesting the imprisonment and abuse of hundreds of people. This activist, who is nearly dying of hunger, is inspired by Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela. Why have we not heard a news story on NPR, CNN, MSNBC, or any of the other big media outlets?

The answer is quite simple; sad, but simple. The activist is a black anti-Communist Cuban. He goes by the name of Jorge Luis García Pérez "Antunez". Humberto Fontova writes about this at CanadaFreePress.com:

Now, if he’d been a black terrorist/socialist protesting segregation 8000 miles from U.S. shores (Nelson Mandela) the MSM(mainstream media) would have been clobbering you over the head with his plight almost daily--as they did during the late 80’s...

Had I spelled out clearly that Cuba’s Stalinist regime ( rather than America’s democratic government) was responsible for the racist tortures provoking the hunger-strike, no major media organ--it goes without saying-- would deign to report the crime, as they’ve ignored Castroite crimes for half a century...

...A Samizdat recent smuggled from Cuba quotes Antunez: “none of the foreign press agencies accredited to work in Cuba have reported this...Now, if there was a march in front of my house in favor of the Castro Regime, you can bet the foreign press would be here in droves!’’

Racism is alive and well in Cuba. One doesn't have to look far into Castro's generals (all white, in a country that is 65% black). A recent Canadian tourist was forcefully pushed away from a hotel's door. The tourist, who was black was apparently mistaken for a black Cuban and told, "Outta here, ni#ger!" This is how they treat their own people. But it lies right in line with the true ideology behind Cuba. Remember the cult-like icon, and Communist Revelutionary poster boy, Che Guevera? His face is on t-shirts worn by millions of mindless college students, celebrities, musicians, and Obama campain workers. Here is how Che feels about race:

“The Negro is indolent and spends his money on frivolities, whereas the European is forward-looking, organized and intelligent… We’re going to do for blacks exactly what blacks did for the Cuban revolution. By which I mean: NOTHING!” - Ernesto “Che” Guevara

So today I pray and honor Antunez, who is dying on a hunger strike in protest of an evil regime who is being coddles by the world media. Antuzez is truley a human rights activist- but he is living in a country where innocent freedom seeking people are willing to risk their own lives for just a possiblity that they may experience true freedom. May God bless you, and give you the strength that you need, and may the world learn of your story; even if there are those who want to bury it.

I am only one blog, with few readers. But if hundreds of blogs with a few readers tell stories like this one, then many people can pass it on.

Here is a video of Lincoln Diaz-Balart shining the light on the heroism of Antunez, past and present:
