What's up with that darn teleprompter?

I thought it was just me. I'm talking about President Obama's teleprompter. It started with the big speeches- ok, that's understandable. But then they started popping up at announcements, press conferences, and rumor has it- he is using them at the dinner table now...ok, maybe not the dinner table.

But they are becoming a bit awkward for everyone who is in the room with them. If you are standing in a room with 40 or 50 people of the press, they give a really cold and distant effect to the speech, unlike his stadium speeches. Photographers are being challenged too, competing with the flat screens that are standing up in front of the President. "Is he talking to us or those two pieces of glass?".

The Politico has a great piece on the "teleprompter crutch" that our new leader seems to have...
