N. Korea missille- U.S. Not Prepared to respond!?

North Korea is about to break international law in the next 10 days by firing a missile they say is designed to carry a satellite into space. The problem is, North Korea has been ignoring 6-party talks aimed at curbing Pyongkang's nuclear ambitions. And Iranian missile experts are going to be right there with N. Korea to help with the launch. (Story)

Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Sunday, "I would say we're not prepared to do anything about it."

It has been said by officials that this missile could have the potential to reach as far as Hawaii. The answer given by Gates should not make Americans, particularly those living in Hawaii feel comfortable.

"I think if we had an aberrant missile, one that was headed for Hawaii, that looked like it was headed for Hawaii or something like that, we might consider it," Gates said. "But I don't think we have any plans to do anything like that at this point."

But remember, Obama promised that he would scale back expensive missile defense systems. A wasteful "stimulus" bill is something he feels is more important to this country. That missile defense system is looking really nice right about now...
